Philanthropy update: 27th annual Charity Golf Scramble benefiting Camp Riley, plus Fishers on Tap

Key Corporate Services founders and managing partners Dave Kerns and Jeff Wilson place a high value on giving back to the community. On June 4th at River Glen Country Club in Fishers, they participated in the 27th annual Charity Golf Scramble. Sponsored by NAIFA (National Association of Insurers and Financial Advisors) in Indianapolis, this event benefits Camp Riley, a camp held by the Riley Children’s Foundation. According to the NAIFA-Indianapolis website,

NAIFA-Indianapolis has been supporting Camp Riley for 26 years. Camp Riley is a summer camp designed and built for youth with physical disabilities. The children are able to enjoy a traditional camping experience, thanks to many specially designed facilities and the excellent counselors. The children attend camp for one or two week sessions which costs about $2,000 per camper. Ongoing support from donors ensures that campers only pay a fraction of that cost.

This was the second year that Dave has sponsored a foursome at the event. According to Jeff, the four of them scored 7 under but still lost. Better luck next year, gentlemen! In any case, Riley is a great children’s hospital in Indianapolis, and Key Corporate Services supports it in several ways.

Jeff is also heavily involved with the Fishers Rotary Club. On June 15, the club held the 2nd annual Fishers on Tap. According to the website, this event is

A craft beer tasting event sponsored by The Rotary Club of Fishers, where the residents of Fishers and Hamilton County can gather to taste the many creative craft beers that are brewed here in Indiana by local entrepreneurs working to express their love of this age-old craft.

The proceeds from this event will be redistributed back into Fishers and Hamilton County communities by the Fishers Rotary Club as we continue to support those in need as we have been doing over our 20 year Fishers history.

The event was attended by over 500 people and raised over $12,000 for good causes. Nice work!
