Behavioral interviewing tip #6: Be succinct

Behavioral interviewing questions often take the form of, “Tell me about a time when…” Candidates sometimes understandably but nevertheless mistakenly feel that they are invited or required to provide a long, involved answer to each question. On the contrary, the ideal answer delivers good, concrete information as efficiently as possible. It’s also perfectly acceptable to ask the interviewer, “Have I provided all the information you need?”
