VIDEOS are becoming an increasingly important medium companies are using to advertise job roles. It’s the best form of content for evoking emotion, and has been proven to impact customer decision-making. Audiences are about ten times more likely to embed, share, engage with and comment on a video – so what better way to showcase your company, your people, your values and your culture than through the medium of video?

A blog of online content company Southerly, sited a basic reason for this move by employers to video when recruiting: video effectively advertises a job role, as well as showcases the company culture and attracts people who are the right fit for your team.

In 2015, videos will increasingly play a larger role in the recruiting process.  With online video now accounting for 50% percent of all mobile traffic, it makes sense that this medium should be used in every aspect of recruiting.

There’s an application for video in employee branding, employee files, job postings, and even job offers.  Video can certainly be used to supplement traditional print messaging. In short, videos make it easier to see and feel the excitement at your firm.
